Swarf & Coolant Management

Swarf Conveyor systems provide many hazards to operators and other personnel when in operation including

  • Access to dangerous rotating and moving parts

  • Hand or finger trapping or crushing

  • Risk of clothing entanglement and drag through

  • Hazards become more likely if the Swarf skip situated under the chute is removed from under the conveyor

At G-Tech we have developed a safety device which fits to the Swarf chute which prevents operation of the conveyor if the skip is not in position. This provides protection and compliance with BS EN 13857:2019.

In addition we install Swarf Chute extension skirts which are adjusted to clear the skip for removal when fitted. This vastly reduces the risk of access to dangerous parts preventing trapping and crushing and laceration from Swarf waste.

In addition to the supply and installation of Swarf conveyor safety devices G-Tech provide a full turn key refurbishment package for all types of conveyor and a replacement service if conveyor is beyond economical repair or refurbishment

There are 5 main different Swarf Conveyor types depending on usage:-
